‘Between the soup and the potatoes’ is a Flemish expression which means to do something quickly in between other things. While making other artworks, David takes breaks to produce little experiments that are weird, but also have their own charming character. They become opportunities to experiment in a playful way.
David Bernstein (b. 1988 San Antonio, Texas)is an artist based in Brussels and Amsterdam. He combines performance, sculpture, and writing to tell stories through objects. He plays with absurdity and humor, using hospitality to invite others into his curious world.
